Downeast Terrace is a small, quiet complex of 8 two-bedroom townhouses. It is located on a private road off Crosby Street, just a short walk to UMO or downtown Orono.
Each unit contains approximately 975 square feet of living space, an outside deck in back, plus a full basement with washer/dryer hookups.
The main floor contains the Living room, Kitchen, Dining area, and half bath. The second floor has a large Master bedroom with 2 generous closets, a second bedroom with 1 closet, and a full bath.
Rental Information
A one year minimum lease is required. Rent is $1,200 per month (or $1,150 with bank autopay discount), plus utilities (natural gas and electric).
Each unit has its own high-efficiency natural gas furnace for heat. The cost for heat for the 2017-2018 season was about $500 per year.
A $1,000 security deposit, as well as First and Last month's rent, are required before moving in. Tenants with good references may spread the last month's rent deposit over the first three months, if necessary.
Pets are generally not allowed, although we have made exceptions for responsible pet owners. An additional deposit and/or monthly fee may be required in such cases.
Tenant Qualifications
This is a quiet, family oriented complex. There are families with young children, as well as retired people who live here. Quiet hours are in effect after 9 pm on weekdays, and 10 pm on weekends. Loud music and large parties are never allowed. As a general rule, this is not a good place for younger college students.Contact Information
